The French Institute for Higher National Defense Studies (IHEDN) organized within the European Security and Defence College (ESDC) a course dedicated to “European Union facing hybrid threats challenges.

Hybrid threats and hybrid war is a challenge for every environment, Country, and International Organization.

On Wednesday, August 05, 2020, Captain(Ν) Nikolaos Evgenios Badras HN handed over command duties of Athens Multinational Sealift Coordination Center - AMSCC to Captain(Ν) Petros Stellakis HN.
Representatives from HNDGS had the opportunity to greet the Captain Nikolaos Evgenios Badras HN and welcome the new Director.

On Friday, September 20, 2019 Captain(Ν) Pavlos Panagiotopoulos HN handed over command duties of Athens Multinational Sealift Coordination Center AMSCC to Captain(Ν) Nikolaos Evgenios Badras HN.
A farewell reception took place in AMSCC’s premises, in which representatives from HNDGS had the opportunity to greet the Captain Pavlos Panagiotopoulos HN and welcome the new Director.

On 6^th March 2019 an AMSCC delegation paid a return visit to Eindhoven Netherlands to hold a follow-up meeting with MCCE counterparts. The purpose of the meeting was to explore possibilities of joint action that will help both parties become more effective in sealift provision. Both MCCE and AMSCC staff noted that pressing issues on transportation can be addressed through collaboration.    

         The AMSCC had the pleasure to welcome to its premises key representatives of local shipping community, such as the Hellenic Chamber of Shipping, the Hellenic Shipbrokers Association, the Hellenic Shortsea Shipowners Association and Ro-Ro, Container and Ro-Pax shipping companies.

 At the first part of the meeting the AMSCC Director and COS presented their estimate on sealift market and at the second part both sides were engaged in an open and constructive exchange of views.

Athens Multinational Sealift Coordination Center (AMSCC) welcomed a three member delegation of Moving Coordination Centre Europe (MCCE), Nov 7. The delegation representing Col Eric HERBAUT (FRA AF) Director; Lt Col Antonio PASSARO (ITA AF) Depute Director; and Cdr Hans Ole NIELSEN (DNK N) Sealift Cell Chief.

 For both MCCE and AMSCC leadership teams, the visit marks their first opportunity to exchange ideas and explore points of common interest.

On Tuesday, July 31, 2018 Captain(Ν) Gerasimos Pavlatos HN handed over command duties of Athens Multinational Sealift Coordination Center - AMSCC to Captain(Ν) Pavlos Panagiotopoulos HN.

On June 27, 2018, Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance successfully evaluated AMSCC’s Quality Management System following Standards ISO 9001:2015. AMSCC staff successfully went through quality evaluation and a 3 year Certificate of Approval was awarded.

On May of 2018 AMSCC received a request for transportation of military vehicles, materials and personnel. AMSCC acting on behalf of the user conducted a shipping market overview and the results provided to the user.

On December 20, 2017 a MoU and TA were signed concerning cooperation between the two countries within the Athens Multinational Sealift Coordination Center (AMSCC). On behalf of the Greek Ministry of National Defence the MoU and TA were signed by Hellenic National Defence General Staff/C’Branch Director, Major General Ioannis Gennimatas. On behalf of the Croatian MoD the MoU and TA were signed by the Croatian Armed Forces general Staff/Chief of Logistics Directorate, Major General Vlado Sindler and thus establishing Croatia as the twelfth state partner of the Center.
